Brian K Morris: Founding Author

Brian K. Morris (that's me!) realized he wanted to be a writer in seventh grade when it occurred to him that properly connected words had power over an audience. The following decades were spent convincing others of his sincerity.

Never wanting to be "that guy who wrote (fill in the blank)," I wanted to be that guy who wrote EVERYTHING. I've written ads for print / radio / TV, business plans, pre-burial arrangement contracts, website copy, small press comic books, short stories, pop culture articles, interviews, audio adventure scripts, newsletters, promotions, anything that sounded interesting.

Now I do novels and short stories that often defy easy classification.

I've had my work published in magazines such as BACK ISSUE Magazine, Hogan's Alley, Knights of the Dinner Table, WHOtopia, The Jack Kirby Collector, and many other magazines in varying degrees of obscurity.

In addition, my work has been seen in The Krypton Companion (where I interviewed some of artist Curt Swan's inkers) and short stories in the following anthologies (all available on Amazon) With Great Power (Dinky Productions), Malicious Mysteries (GCD Entertainment), Metahumans Vs. The Ultimate Evil (Lion's Share Press), and Quest For the Space Gods (Flinch! Books).

I've been a member of the Script Development Team for Audio Movies, LLC, bringing excitement to the silverest of screens, that of your imagination.

While working on new novels, I'm writing comic book scripts for my friends at BiMor Comics, Silver Phoenix Enterprises, PWhack Comics, and my own Rising Tide imprint. In 2018, I released The Haunting Tales of Spencer Spook #1 (with artist Eric S. Hawkins and variant cover artists Ken Wheaton, Scoot McMahon, and Ty Templeton). A Skyman comic or two are in the works as well as a Spencer Spook sequel.

Because I don't have enough to do, I have two vlogs on my Facebook page: NEVERMIND THE FURTHERMORE (Mondays and Thursdays at 9:30 Eastern) and CLEVER TITLE PENDING (Tuesdays at 7 pm Eastern).

In addition, I give seminars on storytelling, motivation, self-publishing, and comics history at conventions, libraries, and for private groups. Contact me at Brian@RisingTide.pub for information.

Don't let anyone steal your dream ... you have greatness within you ... and never apologize for being awesome!
